The following is a reboot procedure for installations running both, Wonderware 7.x and the Data Pump SQL programs. Mostly for people who like written procedures.
- Close the Wonderware InTouch program.
- Switch to the SQL server—tap [Scroll Lock] twice for KVM box to switch to the server.
- Reboot the server PC.
- Wait for the Windows to start and enter the Windows password, if prompted.
- Wait for the Data Pump Collector program to start.
- Switch to the PC running the Wonderware; tap [Scroll Lock] twice.
- Reboot the Wonderware PC.
- Wait for the Windows to start and enter the Windows password, if prompted.
- Wait for the Wonderware InTouch to start.
- Done.
As a general rule, I would suggest rebooting once a week, even if everything seems fine. Many good things happen upon Windows reboot.
