Save your old PC
As Microsoft progresses with Vista bloatware, it seems that very soon most PCs will be outdated. Enter Linux. The laptop I’m using to write this has a Pentium II, 512kB RAM, and only 6 GB hard drive—barely enough for XP, forget Vista. However, CPU usage is about 25%, memory 33% and 56% of the hard drive is still free. It’s running XUBUNTU 7.1. There are plenty of Linux distributions to choose from: some slower, some faster, light, heavy, free, commercial, desktop, server, etc. Worth checking out—and they all look very nice.
